Susan Greer joined Amicus Chambers in December 2014, to take on a new role as a mediator and arbitrator at the end of her 23 year career as a Judge of the Superior Court of Justice – Ontario. While on the Court, she had been the Team Leader for the Estates List for 11 years, and spent most of her career on the Bench on the Civil Team. In her early years, she was part of the Case Management Team, and latterly concentrated on Family, Estates and Divisional Court matters.
Susan came to the Court after an 18 year career with McCarthy, Tetrault where she was head of the Estates, Trusts and Estate Litigation group. As an Estates expert, Susan was nominated for and has been a member of the American College of Trusts and Estates Counsel, a part of the American Bar Association, for the past 31 years.
Susan has also been a member of the Canadian Bar Association for 41 years, and participated in many programmes sponsored by it and the Law Society of Upper Canada over those years. She recently was honoured by the Trusts and Estates Section of the Ontario Bar Association, receiving its Award of Excellence.
